Today is December 13th, the fourth day of our genius hour. Today I worked on researching about the history of mashups and I found out that the first people to create a mashup were Bill Buchanan and Dickie Goodman and they had released what they had called a "break-in" song called "The Flying Saucer". The things that went well was that I got quite a few of the kinks I had been talking about last time flattened out and now I have only a few things left to fix and I also got a lot of research done. But something that didn't go well is that I lost around 30 to 45 minutes of work time because I had to do band and that cut out a huge chunk out of my work time. Next time I'm going to flatten out the rest of the kinks and I'm also going to do a bit more research on the history of mashups and what kind of mashup Bill and Dickie made in the 50s.
