Learning; Intention: I can write a variety of imaginative pieces using descriptive language with Similes, Metaphors, and Personification.
This one hundred word challenge was the last hundred word write we were going to do for this year.(Seeing as 2013 is going to be over is six or seven days) The prompt was a picture which I put on the side. Here is my last hundred word challenge for this year:
Celia walked into her basement, grabbing a flashlight. When she got to the bottom, she let out a small gasp. There was a canvas with millions of paints at the bottom. She thought that her mother must’ve done this as an early birthday present. She picked up a brush and dipped it delicately into the shimmering red paint, which was as red as blood. She started painting a picture of a beautiful sunset with a red and purple background with nothing else on the canvas. In the basement she stayed until her mother yelled at her saying it was time for dinner.
I'm really proud of my hundred word write because it was kind of difficult for me to write this way because it was recommended by Mrs.Middleton to write our stories in third person so it started off as a challenge to write like that but as I went along with it, it wasn't as hard to do.
